Information we collect

When you fill out the contact form or the free trial form:

• your first and last name, your email and, if you give it, your phone number;
• your message, if any;
• for a free trial: the day and class you chose, and the site language you used;
• technical information your browser sends automatically: IP address, browser type and the page the form was sent from.

The site uses no analytics or advertising tools.

Why we use it

• to answer you and follow up;
• to add you as a prospect in our gym management software;
• to arrange your trial class and send you a confirmation email;
• to protect the forms against spam and abuse.

We don’t sell your information or use it for anything else without your consent.

Who it’s shared with

Your information is kept in one place: PushPress, our gym management software. The emails the site sends us also stay in the gym’s mailbox. The other providers only deliver or process it on our behalf, keeping at most short-lived technical logs. Some are located outside Quebec, including in the United States, where different laws apply:

• PushPress (United States): member and prospect management, where your information is kept;
• Microsoft 365: the gym’s mailbox, which receives the site’s emails;
• Resend (United States): delivers the site’s emails, without keeping them beyond a short log;
• Cloudflare: hosts the site and runs the spam check (Turnstile), which looks at your IP address and browser signals;
• Google: serves the site’s fonts and the map on the Contact page, and receives your IP address when they load.

Cookies and browser storage

The site doesn’t set its own cookies. It only saves, in your browser’s local storage, the date you closed the “Interested in starting?” card, so it isn’t shown again for 7 days. This stays in your browser and is never sent to us; you can erase it by clearing the site’s data.

The Google Maps map on the Contact page may set Google cookies, under Google’s privacy policy.

Retention

We keep your information as long as needed to follow up with you and, if you become a member, to manage your membership. You can ask us to delete it at any time.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, and withdraw your consent, by emailing jess@crossfit819chaos.com. We reply within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page shows the latest change.
